It’s hard to believe that I’m in the final three months of my tenure as Chair of Women’s Network! Where does the time go? Why does it go so fast? Have I made an impact?
I can tell you, without any hesitation, YOU ALL have made an impact on me. This opportunity to serve as chair has been very rewarding. Don’t get me wrong, it’s also been very challenging. As a volunteer leader, it’s hard to balance a full-time job with a role that could easily been a full-time job.
At our June Luncheon, we will celebrate the year of “We Rise by Lifting Others.” I invite you to be a part of our celebration by sharing your stories of how someone lifted you up this past year, or how you helped someone rise. Please connect with me (lbird@sharefoodbringhope.org) so we can work you into the program.
Also at our June Luncheon, we will recognize the 2022-23 Leadership Team, and welcome the 2023-24 Leadership Team, which will be under the leadership of the fabulous Megan Steen. I am so excited to see Megan shine in the role of Women’s Network Chair! She is going to be AHHHHH-mazing!
