Get to know Dr. Arminta Phelps with Achieve Balance Chiropractic for this week’s Women in Business Spotlight.
Q. How long has Achieve Balance Chiropractic been in business?
A. 13 years
Q. What made you decide to open Achieve Balance Chiropractic?
A. I always knew from a young age that I wanted to be a doctor and help people live healthier and happier lives. So, once I graduated, I knew I wanted to open my own practice to fulfill the purpose of helping people achieve their health goals and live optimally. I know it sounds cheesy but I really believe that God has me on a mission and I am adamant that I fulfill that mission.
Q. What kind of amenities/services does Achieve Balance Chiropractic offer?
A. Achieve Balance Chiropractic offers family wellness chiropractic care. We focus on the individual, what their needs are and how we can help fulfill their goals. We offer motion study digital x-rays, a neurological assessment and full evaluation to find out how chiropractic care can help. We also offer spinal decompression, food sensitivity testing, and thermography screenings for our practice members. Outside of our services, we also provide wellness education options for our clients and the community on various topics such as stress, sleep, and nutrition.
Q. What makes Achieve Balance Chiropractic stand out from other businesses like it?
A. Our loving service! Loving service is our main core value as a company and we make a big deal about it. When our practice members enter our office, it is all about serving them with an open heart. One of my favorite quotes is “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” We take that to heart.
Q. How does Achieve Balance Chiropractic connect with the community?
A. We are involved in the community in many different facets. I have been a member of the Women’s Network for many years. We participate with many of the nonprofit organizations in our community and volunteer our time often. We also do lunch and learn educational presentations for many of the businesses in Columbia, providing a healthy lunch and educating on various health and wellness topics.
Q. Is there anything else you would like our Women’s Network members to know about your business?
A. We are currently expanding our office and getting ready to move into a new and larger facility so that we can expand our ability to serve the Columbia community and Mid Missouri.
