Non-Profit Spotlight: St. Raymond’s Society

Organization Mission:
Our Mission is to support mothers who have chosen life for their child, taking particular care to continue support after the baby is born. We provide resources families need to become self-reliant and we prepare them to give their child the security of a stable home.

What has your organization done that you’re most proud of?
It’s our clients’ success stories that make us most proud. They typically come to us stressed, homeless and jobless. To see them move on from our program with an education and/or job, a budget and plan, and having overall joy in the self-reliant person they’ve become, now supporting themselves and their babies, that makes us proud of what we do.

What are some ways that individuals can get involved?
We will be launching the ALPHA Series where clients will meet almost weekly beginning Wednesday, March 6th from 6:00-7:30pm. Areas for volunteers to support that program include: Engage during ALPHA Series sessions: join for discussion and review of film with staff and moms. Provide 1-1/2 hours of childcare during ALPHA for any children: allows moms to have time to focus on curriculum. Donate a meal: provides meal for moms and group participants to enjoy for fellowship.

What is your volunteer application process (info and link)?
Visit our website at www.srshelp.org Click on the “You Can Help” button to see the variety of ways you can volunteer. Click on the “Contact” button to get in touch with our staff. We will follow up with you for a brief interview about yourself and your interest in helping our organization.

What’s one thing you would want everyone to know about your non-profit?
We believe a woman in an unplanned pregnancy deserves as much, if not more, love and support after their child is born. When a woman finds herself pregnant and alone, without the help she needs, that’s where St. Raymond’s Society steps in to provide those resources and be that loving support.
