Member Profile: Tennille Lester

We’re soaking up every minute of our time with our new WN Chair, and if you’re lucky enough to know Tennille already, you understand why! Tennille’s friends describe her as outgoing, selfless, and driven. After seeing her step in to the WN Chair position when unexpectedly asked to, we truly couldn’t echo the words louder. Tennille is a true champion of Women’s Network. As proof, while preparing to welcome her first child in January, Tennille has taken over as WN Chair and has moved full steam ahead. She leads the program with enthusiasm, excitement, diplomacy, and a true big-picture mindset. In her short time as chair, she has already inspired so many by her adaptability as a leader.
Tennille and her husband Michael Lester, Veterans United, have lived in Columbia for 14 years. She’s been with Landmark Bank since 2008 and we honestly cannot blame them for holding on to her for so long. Get to know Tennille below, help us give her a warm welcome in the comments, and if you want to see for yourself all the amazing things above, shoot her an email to meet up at her favorite coffee spot in CoMo, Lakota Coffee!

3 words people use to describe you: outgoing, selfless and driven

Favorite part about Women’s Network: I am lucky enough to work for a company that has always encouraged leadership and personal development and had awesome co-workers to introduce me to Women’s Network. My favorite part are the moments being created by the opportunities our organization provides. The connections and memories that I have been able to make since joining are priceless and have helped shaped me into the woman I am today.

Describe your ideal weekend – Boat trip with the best of friends! Boat hair don’t care because music, laughter and sun are life.

Do you tend to live in the past, present or future? – I love sharing stories about the past because it typically leads to laughter but more so than ever I try to be present in each moment because the moments are all any of us are ever promised.

Favorite Coffee Shop in Columbia: Lakota Coffee

What is one of your favorite quotes? – “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game” Babe Ruth
