What has your Job Point done that you’re most proud of? In fiscal year 2017, we served 418 people, earning an average wage of $10.85, with 89% of adult job seekers maintaining employment for at least 90 days. Graduates earned an estimated $2 million in wages and paid approximately $300,000 in taxes.
What are some ways that individuals can get involved? Volunteers help tutor YouthBuild students and assist job seekers with their online job search.
What is your volunteer application process? An application and background checks are required for volunteer to work with persons served.
What’s one thing you would want everyone to know about your non-profit? Job Point offers short term training programs in the areas of Carpentry, Highway/Heavy Construction, Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Certified Nursing Assistant and Office Technologies. Earn a certificate in 2-6 months. Scholarships may be available.
