“My favorite parts of Women’s Network are meeting new people, being involved, helping, networking with others and sharing strengths and passions.”
Amanda Tilford stays busy with her four daughters, two doggies and husband of eight years! Between cheerleading, school activities and church, she and her family are always on the move. Her work/life balance as a project manager at Clear Vision Development Group challenges her to be creative and organized. But, her friends would describe Amanda using one more important word! Read more below!
Title: Project Manager
Workplace/Employer: Clear Vision Development Group (2.5 years)
Hometown: Mountain Home, AR. Well, really Henderson, Arkansas, but there really isn’t much of a population there! Just lake homes and a gas station. You “do” everything across the lake (Norfork Lake) in Mountain Home. That is where I went to school, where my friends lived and where my dad worked, etc.
First job: I started babysitting at age 12! After that, my first real job was at a guard shack for a Wilderness Point Campground at 15.
How long have you been in Columbia: 16 years!
College/degree(s): Columbia College, 2006, Bachelor of science in Management and Marketing from William Woods University; Master’s degree in Business Administration in 2008
3 words people use to describe you: Creative, Organized, Accountable
Things that occupy your free time: Kids Activities and Church! Earlier this month, my husband and I were appointed as Associate Pastors at our church, Latter House Kingdom Ministries. I help with many administrative and secretarial duties for the church, the Senior Pastors, and for our church’s daycare, Latter House Childcare Center. My husband oversees a few of our ministry teams and preaches when the Senior Pastors are out on ministry trips. We are both a part of the worship team as well! My husband plays the drums and I play the flute and sing.
Spouse/children/furry children: In October, I will have been married to the love of my life, Jeremy, for 8 years. We have 4 beautiful girls; Amira, Zaylie, Maleah and Keira. We also have 2 girl doggies. So, you can easily say my husband is completely outnumbered!
Fun facts (hobbies, talents, etc.):
I have one daughter in competitive cheerleading, one in middle school cheerleading, and a third taking cheer and tumbling classes. The only one not yet in cheerleading is our 1 ½ year old. We spend a lot of time at the gym and traveling for cheer in the winter and spring!I love going to the movies. My husband and I have seen all of the Marvel/DC/Super Hero Anything/Star Wars/Transformers movies together. It is a tradition on my birthday each year for him and I to go see an action-packed movie together. And he will never forget when my birthday is because it’s Star Wars Day: “May the 4th be with you (May 4th )”
Currently reading: Breaking Busy, Alli Worthington (on audio book, because of course, I’m too busy)
Currently watching: “Safe” on Netflix
Currently listening to (or favorite song): “Never Lost” by Catherine Mullins and “Let There Be Light” by Brian and Katie Torwalt
Place you want to visit: Anywhere with beaches. I love the ocean!
Goal or goals for 2018:
To have more peace daily… in other words, don’t worry and be happy! Because God is in control!
Grow my professional network. Connect with new people and learn something new.
